Episode 836 – Bonus Testimonials

[00:00:24] Hey everybody! It's Tom here with episode 836 of Screw the commute podcast. Today, we're going to talk about bonus testimonials. [00:01:50] All right, here's the deal, folks. No study or split test has ever, ever shown that bonuses decrease sales. All right. It's the opposite. They increase sales of your main product. Now of course the bonuses have to make sense. And I really highly encourage you to listen to episode 690. Screwthecommute.com/690 on bonuses where I go in depth on the types of bonuses and how many and and all that kind of stuff. Now, this episode is going to reveal a little known copywriting technique that will probably increase your sales. And now by how much? I don't know, but even a percent or two over time can be a significant amount of money. Now, just a brief recap of episode 690 on on bonuses. And that means that your bonuses should be either unique where people can't get them, anybody, anywhere else unless they buy your product, or the bonuses are good enough to sell or you have sold them. See you're free. Easing is not a bonus. Anybody can get that for free. So it's not anything special that you're giving somebody who spends money. Again, listen to episode 690 all about how the best way to to handle bonuses and they will increase your sales. There's no question about it. Now, the technique I'm talking about today is very simple. It's called bonus testimonials. That's a regular testimonial, but instead of it being pointed towards your main product, it's pointed toward one of your bonuses or more.

[00:03:36] Each one of your bonus could have a testimonial pointed toward or multiple testimonials pointed towards your bonuses. Now, while I'm talking about testimonials. Episode 620. Screwthecommute.com/620 is all about testimonials, and these are extremely powerful pieces of copy that you need to include in your sales process. But you got to do them correctly and ethically, because if you get found out of not doing them ethically, like I typically find people doing unethical testimonials or making them up or faking them, or people just give them to you because they want to link back to their website and they really don't like your product. All of that's unethical stuff, then that's going to hurt you in the long run. Okay, back to testimonials pointed towards bonuses. Now I'm not saying to ignore testimonials pointed towards your main product. They're really powerful. Go back to episode 620 and learn all about it. I'm saying that many people buy main products because the bonuses are so good. You are emphasizing this by showing how great the bonuses are, by pointing a testimonial toward the bonus or all of the bonuses. Now, one other thing. There are many occasions. This is crazy when people have purchased the main product that they didn't even want that bad to get a unique bonus. And this is even more reason to use bonus testimonials.

[00:05:14] See, a unique bonus is you would promote it by saying hey, you can't. You can't get this anywhere else. It's only comes with the purchase of product X or whatever it is that makes it a unique bonus. It's not even something you've sold before or sold, but it should be good enough to sell, which I emphasize heavily on the bonus thing. Episode 690. So anyway, try that. Go to your bonuses, see if you know. Listen to episode 690, make sure your bonuses, the number and what they're about and everything is correct, and then point some testimonials for those bonus products towards them. And you will probably see an increase in sales over time. That can add up to a lot of money. All right, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I know this is short episode. I know you're busy with Christmas stuff and I'm still nursing this bad back, so I can't stand up too long. What? I'm doing these things, so, so, uh uh, but anyway, uh uh, Merry Christmas for. It's coming up. I know you're all shopping and everything, but this can, you know, if you do this kind of stuff next, next Christmas, you can have loads more money to shop with. How about that?
