Episode 994 – Training AI
[00:00:08] Welcome to Screw the Commute. The entrepreneurial podcast dedicated to getting you out of the car and into the money, with your host, lifelong entrepreneur and multimillionaire, Tom Antion.

[00:00:24] Hey everybody! It's Tom here with episode 994 of Screw the Commute podcast. Today we're going to talk about training AI. Yeah, we're past the dull edge, which I'll tell you about in a minute. Hope you didn't miss episode 993. That was the pros and cons of partnerships, how it can be great, or how it can be a nightmare. And pick up a copy of our automation book at screwthecommute.com/automatefree. Version three is out now. So even if you've done this before, go grab version three, because there's a lot of updates that you need to know about and just throw away version two and check out my mentor program at GreatInternetMarketingTraining.com and my school at IMTCVA.org.

[00:01:10] All right. So many of you that have heard me for a while have heard me say a thousand times. I use dull edge technology because the bleeding edge is called the bleeding edge for a reason, right? It's because it's the most costly, the most glitches, the most trouble. But with regard to AI, I poo pooed it. I didn't poo poo it. I saw it as an upcoming technology. But I'm never going to fool with something that's brand new because of all those things. It's always trouble. And so I let the geeks figure things out, and then I swoop in and make money with it. That's my philosophy for years and years and years on lots of different technology. However, now is the time, right? AI is developed to the point where it's much easier to use.

[00:02:01] You don't have to be some genius of prompting to get it done. I don't prompt, I don't fret over prompts anymore. But I do suggest that you listen to I'm going to give you some episodes here, which if you do want to do better at prompts, then episode 977. Any time you want to get to a back episode, you go to screwthecommute.com, slash, then the episode number. 977 is AI prompts. Now you do need to worry about 976, which is called AI hallucinations, where you're you're relying on information that was just totally pulled out of thin air and is wrong. So you still have to check up on things. That was 976 and 975, which you have to worry about is falling in love with an AI spicy model. Okay, so so you don't need to listen to that one if you don't want to, but people are making up AI models and putting them on Instagram, and they're getting millions of views and making money off of things that don't exist. It kind of reminds me of that, that old movie Simone, where I think it was, I forget Al Pacino was a director that was failing. And so he made up this fake super actress and everybody went crazy. But she didn't exist. Right. So. So that's real now. And then another thing you do need to worry about is episode 974 is AI phishing, so that you don't get in trouble or identity theft or any of that. All right. But here's the thing.

[00:03:46] Here's the either or either you should be training your staff and demanding that they use AI, or they're already using it and they should be training you. And maybe they were just afraid to tell you they were using it, because they're turning out all this great work product and you think, oh wow, how wonderful they are. So, so one or the other, but I can be used. And this new shopping cart system we're promoting, every section of it has AI I connected. So if even on a page, a web page, if you take one little block of text, you can hit a button and it'll tell you it'll with a just a minimal of a prompt of what you want in there, it'll write the whole section for you. Now, this does not get you out of the the the obligation of having common sense and making sure things make sense. All right. Because it's still automated and not a real person, but it can write emails for you. But anyway, in kartra the new thing, if you want to get kartra, you go to screwthecommute.com/kartra for big discounts and all that. So it'll write emails for you. It'll brainstorm on product names. This is not kartra I'm saying about, although it will do this stuff when you click on the I button. But anyway, brainstorm on product names. It can summarize books for you or reports it can create images. Maybe I'll get Larry. I was just talking to somebody about milk for some reason, and I thought, you know, I'll make a stupid picture of me sitting on a milk cow.

[00:05:36] And with aliens in the background. And it generated this picture of me on a milk cow with aliens in the background. It was crazy. So we'll put that in the show notes for you. It's. You get a kick out of that. It can prepare you for meetings. It can write. Like I said, write sales copy, but that doesn't get you out of buying. Copywriting901.com. Because if you don't know the concepts and your audience and the nuances of it, you can't depend on AI to make you rich. Or you have to learn some things. It'll write books for you, write reports, and again, you still need to edit and make things right, but it knocks out tons of work. It'll make outlines for you for books or reports or, you know, just all these crazy things that'll do. Now, I don't suggest you buy every program people are trying to sell you. Even if it's 6 or $7, because it's probably free. So? So what? Elsewhere. So what I'm just going to say is start with baby steps, which is what I did. I got the free version of ChatGPT and started playing with it. And you know, I'm always in a hurry and I have enough money. That's not a big deal. So I spent the 20 bucks a month for the paid version so that I can get faster results and faster images made for me because I'm like I said, I'm always in a hurry, but you don't have to.

[00:07:05] You can just start playing with the free version and I'm using it for everything. I'm using it for things when I'm working on my lawn mower, and it's given me all kinds of of information, I would have had to search for 20 minutes online, sitting at my desktop where I'm greasy and out there working on the lawn mower, and I hit the thing, give it a minuscule prompt, and it gives me all this information that it would have taken me a long time to figure out. So this is a very, very important that you become more efficient in your business, and it's always more profitable to be more efficient. And so if your employees are doing this, you need to either train them or you need to find out what this could do for your business and put it into play, because we're talking, you know, free I mean, the free. You could just make sure all your employees were using the free version of ChatGPT and then reporting each week and having a discussion about it, and now you have started implementing it into your company, even if you're a small, tiny little organization, say so again, you might find out they've already been doing it. You're like the last one to know about. So that's training AI in your organization. The time is now. We'll catch you on the next episode.
