[00:02:24] Now, check out my school if you really want to have a career or improve your business and never be out of work or wondering where the money's coming from. This is the place to be. My school teaches these hard core skills that every business on Earth needs, including your own if you already have a business. But it's great for young people. You know, they're spending all this money on college and just partying and playing games all the time, come out with no marketable skills and then compete for jobs at Starbucks while we got students that are making money a couple of months into the school and and significant amounts of money, I might add, because every business needs this and they're willing to let you work from home. In fact, I've been preaching that for 22 years, but now it's never been more evident that you can work from home. But you got to know what to do and how to do it and bring value to these companies and they will give you money. All right. So so that's what my school teachers check it out at IMTCVA.org. It's the only licensed, dedicated Internet marketing school in the country, probably the world it's certified to operate by SCHEV, the State Council on Higher Education in Virginia. But you don't have to be in Virginia. It's quality distance learning. It cracks me up. All these colleges now are freaking out and and hurry up and thrown together distance learning programs while we've been operating that way for 12, going on 13 years now. So my stuff works. And a little later, I'll tell you how you can get a scholarship to the school if you're in my mentor program. So we'll get to that later.
[00:04:07] All right. Let's get to the main event. Turn your life experiences into side hustles. For many years, I've taught you to make your hobbies legitimately tax deductible. Well, this is kind of a spin off of that in that the things I'm talking about today could be hobbies, but they could be lots more to know. Here's an example. I've always been very safety and security conscious. I mean, I started in karate when I was very athletic as a teen teenager. I got away from it somewhat while I was playing college athletics. And I picked up various martial arts again a couple years before I bought a bar in the same town as I went to college. Well, fast forward to hundreds of violent encounters and two gunfights in a knife fight and bikers try to kill me. I somehow made it out alive. OK, well, I really saw the dark side of people in that setting. Now, this heightened my security consciousness and pretty much changed my life forever. I'm very careful where and how I walk. I don't let strangers get close to me without knowing I'm watching them now. Don't get me wrong, people don't even notice my heightened awareness that I've been living for many years since the nightclub. They have only had to knock out one person since those days. All right, that's a story for another day. The whole point is just like Liam Neeson in those taken movies. Well, it's not exactly like him. I never killed 27 people in two minutes, but I do have a set of skills because of that life experience. For many years, I kept it under wraps because the element of surprise is part of your success in a violent encounter.
[00:06:03] But when I started seeing all the home invasions and carjackings happening to people, I knew I had to help out. So I threw a seminar called Brutal Self-defense. We taped it and it's now for sale as a 14 hour video product. Now, that's clearly a side hustle. It's not my main expertise, but I'm helping people and making money to. And also, you could probably talk to the Sensei or Sensai at the first hundred martial arts schools you could find, and maybe one of them has had as much real life experience as me, so I'm qualified to do it. If you just read the home page at Brutal Self-defense, you'll see all the things I've been through and you'll say, wow, yeah, guy knows what he's talking about. All right, so here's another thing from my life experience. I'm going to give you three of mine here and then I'm going to give you a bunch of ideas you could pursue. So I ran into the marketing director of a bomb and protection dog company, was flying to a speaking engagement while we hit it off, and several weeks later, I get a call from him to do a full day training for their staff about their website and marketing stuff for this dog company. I mean, I almost felt bad that my feet would have been 20000 bucks for this, so so I told him I would do it for a fully trained protection dog. Well, they made the deal and I hadn't had a big dog for a long time and I wasn't traveling as much, so so we made that deal.
[00:07:43] Well, I got hooked right to the point I started my own protection dog company, which is called ProtectionDogsElite.com, and I made deals with top trainers that I met where I take the orders and the trainers train and deliver the dogs. You can check it out at ProtectionDogselite.com. All right, one more fatso tennis. All right, now, this one was born out of a hobby. I've been a tennis nut for many years and I played three or four times a week for many years until I got hurt really bad in a hunting accident. Now, there's no way I could compete with the big name stars and professional coaches with a tennis video, so I went completely opposite. Trust me, there were no Roger Federers or Rafael Nadals at my tennis club. It was a bunch of fat butts like me who just wanted to win more matches, especially against the younger in better shape little smartasses who beat us fatsos all the time. So Fatso Tennis was born. It's called winning tennis for the overweight and hopelessly out of shape. You can see the trailer. It's really funny over fatsotennis.com where I'm playing tennis and eating pizza at the same time. Anyway, it's a 40 dollar DVD set and it's part funny, but it's part of every trick in the book to run the other person to death, especially the younger ones before you dropped it. So it's clearly a side hustle that makes money.
[00:09:27] The problem is, is that most people downplay what they know. I have a mentee who has been doing something for 50 years and I don't want to out her, but she's awesome at what she does and she'll be an inspiration to others. So we're working on getting her stuff out in a much bigger way. But she keeps saying stuff like, well, I only do this one way. And that reminds me of a Bruce Lee quote, right from martial arts fear not the man who practices 10000 techniques. Fear the man who practices one technique 10000 times. OK, that's what I think of her. So she's going to be awesome when it really gets ingrained in her, how special she really is. So don't downplay the stuff you've lived through. Now, let me give you another concept before I give you a bunch of ideas of how you could do this. The concept is that you will have a much greater chance of success if there are lots of products in a particular product area, if there are no other products. One of two things is most likely the case. Either you just hit the lottery because no one else has a product and you'll get all the sales. All right. But more likely, nobody could make any money in that topic area. And that's why there's no products I call my pizza shop theory. There's a big demand for pizza in the world. If you do a good job making pizza and running your business, you get a fair share of the pizza business that's available in your area.
[00:11:10] Ok, so here's some random ideas in fields where there's lots of interest and lots of products, and I even came up with website names for you. Now, I don't I didn't check if they were still available and they probably won't be after this podcast makes its way around the world. But but you can think of ways to get around getting a good domain name. In fact, I'm going to do a I don't know, a couple weeks from now, I'm going to do a session on that, an episode of that.
[00:11:38] All right. So let's get into some of these phishing. People are crazy about phishing. There's all kinds of products in the phishing world. If you just jump in, throw your hat in and do a good job, you'll get your fair share of the business like that domain name phishing for the regularguyorgirl.com family fishing would be a domain name camping on a budget. That's another big thing. Soccer moms, savage or savage soccer mom. Now there's people making fortunes just talking about. To me, that means nothing. All right, because I don't go through the experiences of a soccer mom, but other soccer moms do and they relate to it. And people get hundreds of thousands of views. Just talking about stuff that I have no idea what they're in no interest in, what they're talking about. But that doesn't matter. There's millions of other soccer moms that do relate to it, and that's what we're looking at there. And the word savage is a good one. OK, here's another one. If you got kids, sharpdressedkids.com, I just made that one up. But you get good enough at that. People will be sending you clothes for your kids just for you to review them. You don't have to send them back, OK? Now, here's here's the interesting way I came up with this domain name called Brazilia. Again, these are from my personal life experiences and not from wearing a bra. OK, I my dad and I got it. Oh, I thought of another name for this one, too, Bra Savage. All right. So I got two stories to tell you about here. I was dating this girl and she was always complaining that she couldn't find bras that fit and she's always sagging. And so, of course, the man of the family is going to fix this problem. Right.
[00:13:32] So so I started researching and I found this place. I still see it listed. I think it's closed up. It was run by a much older lady. It was called Dels Bra Boutique in Fairfax, Virginia. If you if you Google that, you'll still see the reviews and Yelp reviews on it. So I took her there and they found out she was a 32 double D. Which means she had giant boobs, but her back was real tiny. And so not the normal double drawers were loose on her. So they gave her the right size. And she was always saying, well, now they're great. They're pointing in the right direction.
[00:14:11] And then she dumped me. So which she was kind of crazy.
[00:14:18] I mean, I'm better off that she did, too. So. So but that leads me into this other story. So I buy stuff on the buying apps all the time. I grew up very frugal, so I'll go to Facebook marketplace or offer up those kinds of places.
[00:14:35] And so I bought this too off of this guy and I went to his house was beautiful house. And out front was a half a million dollar motorhome. He came to the door dressed very nice and invited me in to go down and look at his shop, his workshop. And so as we're going down, it's everything's normal right to this point. And then we get downstairs and we're heading towards his shop. And I look over in his basement and there are hundreds I'm talking hundreds of broads hanging from his rafters like, oh, man, he kills people and hangs their underwear up like, oh, my God. So we go in there, I buy the tool we're talking about how am I? You know, our dads taught us how to use tools and everything is normal except for these hundreds of broads hanging up in his basement. So on the way out, of course, I let him lead the way. I didn't want him standing behind me, you know, remember my awareness for my martial arts. So I said, hey, you got to tell me, what are these broads hanging there for? He's and then he like lit up.
[00:15:49] He said, oh, man, my daughter goes to thrift stores and she knows all the people there and she finds all the hard to find bra sizes and comes clean them up and sells them on eBay. I said, no kidding. I said that was, you know, how much she make. I don't think I ask him that. I think he offered it. She says, yeah, she pulled in two hundred thousand dollars last year selling used bras on eBay. It kind of reminded me of the guy that taught me eBay was selling new cell phones and he was making twenty thousand dollars a month, which, you know, that's two hundred forty thousand dollars a year. So. So, yeah, so Brazilia or Brau Savage, now this brings me up to another as kind of a sad story, a domain name, I thought up that we actually bought for this man to mind was called Thrift Store Savage. So I was helping this this girl. And she was always bragging to me that her entire outfit only cost seven bucks, including the shoes.
[00:16:54] And she was always dressed really cute. I mean, she was just cute as a button. So I told her she could teach others to do their shopping at thrift stores and she could do bachelorette parties. This is my idea where people would pay her 50 bucks each and she would take them all day to thrift stores and guarantee they would get a cute outfit. And while she taught them, taught them all her tricks of how to work thrift stores and and unfortunately, she passed away in a tragic accident before we could get the full thing going. But we were down there videotaping her and she's telling all her tricks and stuff. So I'm sure she wouldn't mind if many of you took the same idea and ran with it because there's thrift stores all over the world. All right. So so thrift store Savage. Here's another one I thought a potty mouth. And it's about potty training for little kids. And the idea is you get them in on potty training and then the kids are growing up. So you keep providing more and more material for stuff as the kids grow. And those parents will be with you for years. Say here's another one doggy. Do all about dog stuff. There's so many things in the dog world or, you know, pet world Plummers Party.
[00:18:12] Well, that's a play on Plummers PUDI. I've watched hundreds of videos, well, I haven't watched hundreds of videos, there's hundreds of videos with hundreds of thousands of views on how, you know, the reason I was watching them, I wanted to improve my technique of soldering copper pipes. So there's a domain if you're a plumber so that any craftsman could make a site because there's so many do it yourselfers out there. CARB man, this is another personal thing. I was dating a girl. Her her dad rebuilt racing car carburetors and he was great out of people. He had a backlist of months and months for people to get their carburetors done. And that's all he wanted to do, was do carburetors. So we put together a deal. Are we? I'm trying to remember the details. This has been a while, but some other video guy videotaped him and they made a deal to split the money, you know, and the videos of Wood Cat. This is another personal experience of mine of a guy I knew in college. It was terrible, had no business being in college, but he could walk by a window of a furniture store, look at the furniture, go home and create it better than it was in the window and cheaper. And so I called it Wood Cat. He's like a copycat woodworker. Shutterbug.
[00:19:39] Yeah, it's a play on shutterbug, so this guy is making a fortune. I don't know this guy personally, but selling shed plans, he's sold hundreds of thousands of the same plans over and over and over again. And that's my whole theory of work. Get paid, paid, paid, paid, paid, say, creating intellectual property shutterbug.
[00:19:59] I made up that name. You could probably be his affiliate and never even create a shared plan and sell his and make money motormouth. Now, this is again, from my personal experience with my dad. My dad was electrician for 50 years, entrepreneur to build all kinds of stuff, but he repaired electric motors for fun and he's just good at it. And so he would hang out at the big this big company that sold electric motors and just shoot the breeze. I mean, he's in his 80s, shoot the breeze with the guys there and he, you know, drink coffee and donuts with them. And and he found out that if a motor was returned is being bad, the insurance company paid the company for the motor and. It was too heavy to bother sending it back to the manufacturer who wanted nothing to do with it, so he would maybe buy a five horsepower motor for ten bucks.
[00:20:58] And take it home, fix it and sell it for 300 bucks, which is what they cost.
[00:21:05] So I called it Motormouth Cell Block. This is a guy I mentioned that that he sold used cell phones and he go to the pawn shops. And I told you that story. But but see, the reason I called it cell block was because you can jailbreak a phone and that has something to do with, say, you can use it on different services, that kind of thing.
[00:21:29] So that's why I came up with cell block. But see, you don't have to be an expert. You just have to have a love for something and be willing to talk about it. You can interview others. You can make deals like this guy with used cell phones. Take a look at John Lee Domus from one of the most popular entrepreneurial podcast Entrepreneur on Fire. I've been on air twice now. I don't know if he has any real expertise in anything or not. He just interviews others and makes one hundred thousand dollars a month or more. Now, many great selling books are just interviews. I even teach a method on how to do this. I think in a couple of weeks I'll have that on one of my Monday sessions on the math that maybe next week I can't remember. Here's another one I invented, bully pulpit. All right, well, that's a term that's well known, but let's say you were bullied in school. You can go around speaking on anti-bullying and high schools and get a sponsor to pay you. Bad parents maybe had terrible parents and low self-esteem and overcame it, and you want to help others, big sister or big sister act, I call it a sister act is a play off a movie, but big sister act, maybe it's just you. You attract everybody that's big sisters in the things that they went through with their little brothers and little sisters and, you know, make a community for them. So there's plenty of ways to take things you're interested in or have happen to you and turn them into money. You just have to stop pooh poohing your life experience and think about how you could turn it into big bucks. All right.
[00:23:11] So if you want to help with this and all the other hundreds of things you need to know to have a successful online business, check out my mentor program, greatinternetmarketingtraining.com. This is the one that you also get a scholarship to my school, which you can either use yourself or gift to someone. And wow, it's the longest running, most successful, most unique program of its kind. How can I say that? Right. Well, I don't mind saying that because I've triple dog dared people to bring in other programs to me and let's compare them line for line. Nobody will do it because they're embarrassed, because mine blows them away. All right. Nobody does what we do. First of all, it's one on one. And nobody at my level even talk to you, let alone teach anything. And my whole staff will book appointments with you one on one, take over your screen if necessary, show you where to click, what to do, critique your work. All of these things we do for you one on one. I don't like group stuff because the experience people are bored. If I'm talking to the beginners in the beginners or lost if I'm talking to the experienced people, it's just not efficient. Another unique thing is I tie my success to your success. So, you know, guys, at my level, we're charging 50 or 100 thousand bucks up front to teach you this stuff. Well, first of all, I knew a lot of these people that you give them fifty grand up front. You'd never see him again.
[00:24:38] All right. So I said, you know, I'm going to make them mad. I didn't do it to make them mad, but I knew it would is I charged a relatively small entry fee and then a percentage of profits that's capped. So for me to get my fifty thousand, you have to clear net. Two hundred thousand. Well, people love this and seventeen hundred plus students later and twenty I think twenty two years gone by. It's still going strong plus unique that I'm still talking about uniqueness. You get an immersion weekend after the pandemic's done at the great Internet marketing retreat center where you're here small. That's the only group thing we do, but it's only about five people and you're here for the whole weekend. You actually live in the house, no expenses, no other up cells while you're here. And then we also take you next door to our TV studio and shoot marketing videos for you. My guy edits and puts graphics on them and sends them to you after you get home, right? Nobody does. Right. So that's just a few of the major things. Plus, you get the scholarship to the school. So so it's the longest running, most unique, most successful in this field. So check it out at greatInternetmarketingtraining.com, and then don't poo poo your life experiences.
[00:25:58] You've got valuable things that other people would kill to know if you just got it in a saleable format. All right. We'll get you on the next episode. See you later.
