Episode 769 – Get Paid For Driving
[00:00:08] Welcome to Screw the Commute. The entrepreneurial podcast dedicated to getting you out of the car and into the money, with your host, lifelong entrepreneur and multimillionaire, Tom Antion.

[00:00:24] Hey everybody, it's Tom here with episode 769 of Screw the Commute podcast. I guess this must be like automobile driving week or something because episode 768 was rental car hacks. You got to listen to that one. It'll save you a fortune on renting cars. But today, we're going to talk about a lot of different ways to get paid for driving and get free and super cheap vehicles to drive if you want to drive them. Yeah, this is legit stuff. And you'll also get paid to drive for different kinds of deliveries, things without a fancy CDL license and yeah, I know I'm total internet guy, but I know some of you need cash and you can get it quick just using your car and driving around a little bit. So this will cover getting free and cheap driving trips and making some money with your car. All right, let's see. Yeah. Just to remind you how to listen to back episodes. You go to screwthecommute.com, slash, and then the episode number. Rental car hacks with 768. So screwthecommute.com/768. And let's see what else I want to tell you here. Follow me at Digital on TikTok at tiktok.com/@digitalmultimillionaire and grab a copy of our automation book at screwthecommute.com/automatefree.

[00:01:54] All right, let's get to the main event. Most every listener of this podcast knows I'm all about passive income and saving and making money. The things I cover in this episode, some are totally passive, some save you a ton of money and some require some work. So let's jump in and tell you how you can make totally passive money driving where and this is driving where you normally drive. This is crazy, folks. You don't have to go anywhere you don't normally go. This effectively makes you passive money while you're doing your normal routine. Now I'm talking about two legitimate websites because there's a lot of illegitimate websites doing this same thing, but these two are legit where you can sign up and get paid to have your car wrapped with advertising campaigns and you get paid more the more you drive around with the ads on your car. Now these legit sites will wrap your car professionally. You don't have to pay for this. See, some sites will try to make you pay. No, these sites won't. I'll tell you two sites in a minute. Anyway, they wrap your car professionally and they unwrap your car without damage after the advertising campaign is over. Now the two sites are wrapafy.com and Carvertise.com/drivers. Now, on both of these sites, you go to the driver section as opposed to the brand section. The brand section is for the advertisers. And the requirements are minimal. You've got to have a driver's license, clean driving record, and I think you have to be under 70 years old. All right. Hey, I'm getting close to that. I can't even qualify for this pretty soon. And you've got to have a decent car.

[00:03:57] I'm sure the brands don't want to be seen on Old Junkers. And they have an app that tracks your mileage and you get paid with direct deposit. Now, after you sign up, you will start getting notices of ad campaigns looking for drivers. Plus, you don't have to advertise things you don't believe in. In other words, you can pick what campaigns you like. Campaigns come and go. So don't worry about it if there's nothing in your area when you sign up. So that was passive income. The next is vehicle relocation services. What these companies do is get drivers to transport vehicles from one place to another. These trips are almost exclusively one way. You can make money with this or save money on your transportation from one place to another. For instance, let's say someone in New York City wants to go to Florida for the winter. They fly down, but they want their car there to drive around for the winter. Well, you can drive the car and deliver it to them within a certain time frame. I don't think anybody cares too much about where you stop along the way to sleep or vacation so long as you pick the car up on time and deliver it by the deadline. This saves on your transportation to Florida. Now, of course, you've got to get back from Florida unless that's where you're going. Or maybe you're a nomad and you pick one up in Florida and take it to Texas and just travel all around like that.

[00:05:38] You can check this out at transfer Car Us.com. Now they have these all around the world. So you could you know, if you're in a different country, just go to transfer car and pick your country. Now, of course, you've got to be flexible on your travel needs. And if you don't see an acceptable trip, they'll email you when one comes along. Let's check this up a little bit. How about driving an RV, which also gives you a place to sleep for free as you take it from one location to another. Some places or some of them charge you a dollar to $10 a day, which isn't even a fraction of the cost to rent an RV. Some give you hundreds of dollars for gas allowance. And if you play your cards right, the entire trip cost you nothing but food. Now you can check that out@imovie.com. I am ova.com. We'll have all these links in the show notes. And you can also stop by your local dealer and tell them you could be available to deliver new RVs to buyers or used ones, I guess to. Now, here's something. I never even thought of this, but it's. It's beautiful. Especially when you love animals. A professional drivers.com and it's also slash about dash slash driving dash jobs anyway has a section on pet transport their pet transportation companies where if you love animals you can transport an animal they pay for your hotel they find.

[00:07:23] Pet friendly hotels to stop at. If it's a long way, you know, somebody wouldn't want to maybe want to ship their dog if they're moving to from New York to Los Angeles or East coast to West Coast or wherever. So they want they want to fly, but they they don't want their animal to be stuck in the cargo bin. So they pay a transport service. So that can be a lot of fun. If you love animals, unless the animal is a total nutcase, then you might have trouble. Now, here's a couple places that are rideshare, but they're more exclusive than Uber or Lyft. I personally wouldn't want to do Uber Lyft because I see all these videos of the nutcase people that that get in your car and you got to throw them out and call the police and you're sitting duck to get carjacked. And I don't know. So I don't really like that. But there's a place called IdriveYourcar.com and another one called Amride.com And then it's slash become a dash driver and some of them it's you use your car some of them use their car you're kind of like a chauffeur but I don't think you need to have a CDL license for it. I'm not sure. I didn't look too deep into those. But anyway, those are two other places you can get paid to drive. Now, the next one is really kind of cool.

[00:08:48] It's roadie roadie i.com and then slash drivers. It's owned by UPS. If you go to that site, you can see a video example of how it works, but I'm going to tell you about it here. So you get paid for delivering packages for UPS. I've actually had regular cars pull up in my cul de sac and I didn't know what who or who the heck they were. But then they came out and handed me a package. All right. Well, that driver got paid by UPS for the delivery. Or it could have been another one I'll tell you about in a minute. Now, the example in the video was a lady getting ready to go home from work. She went on her roadie app and saw that there was a delivery right on her way home from work. So she had to pick up a piece of lost luggage at the airport and deliver it to the owner of the bag. She got about 20 bucks for this. And there are all kinds of deliveries available. And you can pick and choose which one suits you. And it's especially nice that the delivery was on her way home anyway, so she didn't have to go too far out of her way to make it. And that 20 bucks that she would have spent anyway on gas and going back and forth probably paid her gas and travel expenses for her trip, her round trip to work. And she made some extra money to.

[00:10:15] Okay. There's another place called Shipt, and they do similar things that they work with various drugstores and department stores like Target. So you go pick up an order, deliver it to somebody's house and then the big kahunas Amazon Flex. So you're basically working for Amazon, but driving your own car and getting paid to do it. All right, So there's some cool, cool things. All right. Other ones you may have heard of are food delivery, like GrubHub, Uber Eats, DoorDash and DoorDash claims they pay an average of about an national average of $25 per hour. Of course, I'm sure that includes some big cities in their. And you keep all your tips. And one of my tenants is is doing that on the side and making making good money. You can deliver groceries. The the website called Instacart. So you can pick up groceries, deliver them to people. Again, there's tips involved, too. Now, if you happen to have a truck and you can lift things, here's four sites you can check out. Taskrabbit. Craigslist. Dolly. Dolly. And go share. And these you know, you can use a truck to pick up trash or to help people move a refrigerator or stuff like that. So so all of those are ways to get kind of paid for driving and doing services for people. And they have some if you're good at handy handyman work, I guess you got to say handy person work nowadays, then those places book that stuff too. All right, here's another one.

[00:11:58] If you like kids, you can transport children now. Not like they're doing at the southern border. All right. But but care.com, you can look deeper into their and find out how to become a driver for them. But no, no. Excuse me. On care.com, you list your child care business so you could list the fact that you're willing to transport children. And now they got background checks and all those kinds of things that these types of sites. And hopskipdrive.com/drive is where you it's a booking service where you can drive children to the school or pick them up from dance class or whatever that kind of stuff is. So so if you like kids, there you go. Now the other end of the spectrum, transporting elderly people, you can get paid to drive. And I don't have any sites for that specifically. But if you go to your check out your local elder care services, then you can ask them how to apply to be a driver for that. Now here's another really cool one. Driving tours now. Now this one. You you can't be an introvert. You got to have the gift of gab and you have to know your local area for this but toursbylocals.com/guide_join. But anyway toursbylocals.com has I think they said 5000 local tour guides that people can book whenever they're traveling to a certain area and they handle the money and all that stuff for you.

[00:13:37] I think so And I got a bonus coming up for you in a second. But of course, Uber and Lyft everybody knows about, but I don't really push that. It's just too dangerous to me. On the the chauffeur kind of sites where you're like, I drive your car. Well, you got a specific person that's well-heeled enough to have you drive, pay you to drive their car and you can get to know them and so forth. And it's not like random people at nighttime, you know, jumping in the back of your car and, you know, crazy stuff like that. So I like those sites better. All right. So here's your bonus one. Turo. Turo. Next one is get around. The next one is hyrecar turo getaround. They let you rent your car out like an Airbnb. Okay, now I don't think I'd want that too much, but there was enough money involved. I don't know who would want my Suburban that smells like dogs all the time, you know? But. But anyway, Turo is kind of specializes in fancier cars, I believe. And I'm sure the rates are significant. So if you have a fancy car. And I mean, I just it just seems hard to me that if you loved your car, that you'd want somebody else driving it. But anyway, Turow handles insurance and vetting and all that stuff for people.

[00:15:12] But, you know, I the reason my cars last so long is because there's only one driver, you know. So it's that's a pretty consistent thing with vehicles. If you had one driver, the car lasts longer. Okay. So unless the driver was crazy. So so anyway, there's a whole bunch of ways you can make money almost immediately and I mean pretty much immediately in some of these places and and just drive around and especially I kind of like the idea of that roadie. And they say on their site, I mean, that's the one that's owned by UPS. They say on their site that you can make from 10 to $700 per trip. So I'm even thinking about it when I'm, you know, my next trip to my claysville is nine hours. I'll probably pass a whole bunch of places that if I had a good package too, and I'm taking my trailer, I could take any size package that maybe I'd get paid just just to see how it works. But. But seems like it'd be it could be a great thing on trips that you're already making. And it's a legitimate company, you know UPS or Amazon Flex, same thing. So. So check these out, make some extra money, and then join my mentor program. And then I'll show you how to quit driving and you can just sit home and make money. How about that? So check that out at GreatInternetMarketingTraining.com. All right. We'll catch you in the next episode. See you later.
