Episode 695 – Online Walkie Talkie
[00:00:08] Welcome to Screw the Commute. The entrepreneurial podcast dedicated to getting you out of the car and into the money, with your host, lifelong entrepreneur and multimillionaire, Tom Antion.

[00:00:24] Hey, everybody, it's Tom here with episode 695 of Screw the Commute podcast. Got a real quickie today. A quickie walkie talkie. I'm going to show you a communication device that's pretty cheap, but very handy. Use it almost every day in my business. Hope you didn't miss episode 694. That was Reuben Swartz and he invented a CRM or customer relation management system. I think that's what that stands for. For people who love serving clients but hate selling. That was episode 694. Anytime you want to get to a back episode, you go to screwthecommute.com, slash and then the episode number. That was 694. Hey, make sure you follow me on TikTok at tiktok.com/@digitalmultimillionaire. Oh man, I have one going viral and I think it's going to hit half a million views any day now. So it's really going good but a lot of I've got a lot of episodes on TikTok by the way, so you might want to listen to some back episodes to see what I'm doing on there, what it's doing for me and so forth. So check that out. And we also want to thank people from Patreon for our contributions to our scholarship program. So screwthecommute.com/patreon.

[00:01:45] All right. Let's get to this quick main event here. I'm talking about an online walkie talkie. Most of you are familiar with walkie talkies where you push the button and talk, and then you let up the button and then the other person pushes the button and talks. That's called Simplex. If it's duplex, both of you could be talking at the same time. But that's a different technology. So this is Simplex. So there's a program that we use called Zello. This is Zello.com, and it's a simplex walkie talkie that will do more than just walkie talkie stuff. Very cool. And it costs it's $6.80 per user per month. And I just have, I think three of us on here. And I use mostly with just one of my team members and you can even be in some other app and then Zello or walkie talkie, another person that you're working with, I mean, it doesn't have to be an employee or something. It could be your spouse. I mean, it's just a pretty handy thing to use and it will handle channels. So you can be in different channels. I mean, I'll handle up to 7000 people, but that'd be a lot of money per month if it was $6.80 each. But we just use it for a couple of people around here and it's just very handy. And you can have unlimited one on one conversations back and forth or with contacts, but you can also send a photo or a text or an alert and share your location, things like that.

[00:03:28] It's all like I said, it's like a walkie talkie on steroids. And the cool thing is, is. Or one of the cool things is that when you you message back and forth on audio with people. It's recorded so you can go back and listen to, Oh, what did he say? And I can go back and just hit that part of the conversation and it'll play that part while he had or he she had the button down. And then I said, Oh, that's what he said, you know, and I don't have to bother them again to clarify what they said, you know, And a lot of things are, you know, it's just hard to text and there's so many nuances and even email. I mean, I love all those other methods, but talking to somebody can really clear up things very quickly sometimes. So so we use it for that when it's just too much trouble to text back and forth ten times when I can talk to Larry. And in two sentences we figured out what we needed. So. So that's pretty cool. Let's see. Does what a stuff it does. You can have admins to run the thing for you. There's a lot of stuff that'll do that I don't even understand. A lot of big companies actually use this thing. It'll track the number of calls for you, the call duration, you know, in case you needed to document those kinds of things.

[00:04:56] Let's see what else you can have two factor authentication so people can't use it unless they're really it's like a fancy password system. So I just encourage you to try it. It's got a 14 day free trial and we just, like I said, we just love it. It's it allows me to go directly to the person that are on there. We can have a bunch of contacts inside the thing and pick who you want to talk to. You can get on group calls with people, but again, remember it's simplex, which means one person talk. I mean, that's kind of a good thing because so many people get in an argument and talk over each other. You can't you can't do it here. You got to hold the button down and say something and then let the button up so the other person can say something. So it's basically, like I said, a walkie talkie on steroids. I said, I don't even understand some of the things that it'll do. Check it out. It's Zello.com and you can take a 14 day free trial. And like I said, even if you get it, it's only $6.80 a month. So it's pretty much double that because who are you going to talk to if you if you just get one user? So talk to yourself. So anyway, that's Zello. And this is a real quickie today. This might be the quickest podcast ever, but I like to give you these tools that you can use one at a time.

[00:06:20] I mean, I could have lumped ten tools together and then you'd have been overwhelmed. So check this out, Zello.com. And then, hey, if you want. Oh, the big thing that's coming up is our Screw the Commute summit, where there's going to be about 20 different speakers. It's totally free. I mean, yeah, we've got a deal where you can get the recordings if you don't want to be there. But it's a special format where old summits used to mean you had to sit there all day long to listen to them. We fixed that. This guy that I partnered with fixed that so you can each day you can get access to whatever you want to listen to whenever you want to listen to it for 48 hours. And then again, you know, a lot of people go ahead and buy the videos because the there's massive value here. I'm doing five master classes, which would it would be thousands and thousands of dollars for stuff if you paid me to to do these for you. So check it out. That's keep your eye on your email. That's going to come out in email when that's coming up middle of January. So. So sounds good. All right. And if you want to get into a mentor program, what are you waiting for? It's a new year and I'm still rolling after all these years. So check it out at greatInternetmarketingtraining.com. All right. We'll catch you on the next episode. See you later.
