SUMMARY BY CHATGPT
Tom Antion explains that Facebook Stories are one of the easiest ways to stay visible and build relationships with your audience without constantly selling.
Key Points
• Use Stories to build trust, not to hard sell. Share a mix of personal moments, humor, behind-the-scenes content, tips, and occasional links to your business.
• Creating Stories is simple.
o Use ChatGPT to generate a 9:16 vertical image.
o Or use CapCut templates with your own photos or videos, then add text and music.
• Stories last only 24 hours, making them ideal for daily engagement.
• Check who viewed your Stories to see what content performs best.
• Reuse successful Stories from Facebook's Story Archive.
• Business ideas: testimonials, product packing, quick tips, behind-the-scenes, quizzes.
• Personal ideas: morning routine, coffee, pets, gym, family, hobbies, funny moments.
• Avoid posting vacation photos until you're home for security reasons.
• Post one Story per day. Multiple Stories are fine, but keep them short since many viewers won't watch an entire sequence.
Bottom Line
A daily Facebook Story takes only a few minutes to create but helps keep you visible, strengthen relationships, and keep your business top of mind with minimal effort.

Episode 1140 – Facebook Stories
[00:00:08] Welcome to Screw the Commute. The entrepreneurial podcast dedicated to getting you out of the car and into the money, with your host, lifelong entrepreneur and multimillionaire, Tom Antion.
[00:00:24] Hey everybody, it's Tom here with episode 1140 of Screw the Commute podcast. Today we're going to talk about Facebook stories. Very easy to create and does a lot of good things for you with very little effort. All right. Hope you didn't miss episode 1139. That was infographics. And they are not dead. And they are so easy to create nowadays. You'll be able to see some examples of heavy text and little text ones after you listen to it and see it in the show notes. That was episode 1139. And let's see, anytime you want to get to a back episode, you go to screwthecommute.com/episode number. Pick up a copy of our automation book at screwthecommute.com/automatefree. Version 3.0 is the latest. However, I am halfway done with version 4.0, which is going to add to 3.0. So don't hold back. Go ahead and grab 3.0 and then when 4.0 comes out you can grab it. And let's see, check out my mentor program. Greatinternetmarketingtraining.com and my school IMTCVA.org, certified to operate in Virginia by SCHEV. But you don't have to be in Virginia because it's quality distance learning.
[00:01:39] All right. Let's talk about Facebook stories. I use these and many people do as a relationship building tool. I don't hard sell on these Facebook stories, but I do put links to my stuff. My school, Screw the Commute podcast, which you're listening to right now, maybe brutal self-defense once in a while. And so, but it's not no hard sell stuff. Sometimes I just put fun or funny stories. I make fun of myself. I just did one where I was looking all cool.
[00:02:14] But then there's this wolf was going to eat me from behind and I put a funny caption on her. So some of them are just for fun and they're very easy to create. You can now just tell ChatGPT I want a Facebook story format image and tell it what you want and you'll get a custom image right there. And we used to go to Gemini and Nano Banana for this, but now ChatGPT is really up their game on graphics. Now you got to make sure you say you want a nine by 16. This is vertical format. 16 by nine is horizontal format. When you see normal YouTube videos, the shorts on YouTube are vertical, but the nine by 16. But the normal YouTube videos are 16 by nine, so just make sure you put that in. If your prompt ChatGPT to make the graphic for you, or you can just take a picture. I'm going to show you some business uses and personal uses here in a minute. Another thing that I do is I have a cap cut and I click on templates. Now I have the pro version, which is still dirt cheap, but the free version has loads of templates that are, I think they call them standard. And the pro version allows me to use the AI templates. But before I was using the AI templates, all they had was standard templates. And they're very cool. They have. And all you have to do is let's say you pick a template that you like and then it's doing something.
[00:03:55] So at the bottom of the template, it's going to say at the bottom of the template, it's going to say, okay, put a photo here and it's going to run for 10s and put a different photo here or put the same photo both places. You know, it's going to just tell you what to do. And you either put a photo or video of you in there or whatever you want, really. And then it kicks it into this template. Now you have to wait for it to render sometimes five minutes or so, but then you download it and you got a story and you can put text on it and all the other kinds of things you can do text and music. Some of the templates already have music on them. Okay, so very easy to create and it's not, uh, you know, CapCut is not the only one. There's other ones that'll do it, but that just happens to be what I use. And they have hundreds and hundreds of templates. So that's how easy it is to do these. Now, these are only up for 24 hours. All right. So every day I put a new one up and you can also see who viewed them. So you'll see how many people and who if you click on it viewed them. And you can also have an archive. So it remembers all the stories you've done. And it used to be so hard to find. And they do move this all the time.
[00:05:14] But if you click on the people that viewed up in the top right, there's a little goofy looking circle and that's your archive and you can see all the ones you've done because maybe after a month or so, you just reuse one that you really liked or that got a lot of attention because new people will see it and so forth. So, it's a great relationship builder. And let's see a lot of people watch stories, Facebook stories, even if they don't look at their newsfeed very often. I mean, I do, I know I scroll a whole bunch of them all the time. As soon as I open the check, mine say, and you can just like I said, simply upload a vertical photo, add some text and music, which they help you do right there. And it's done. All right. Same for video. You can upload a video now some just some ideas for you, but there's literally infinite ideas like business wise, you could have a testimonial. You could have a video of you shipping a product, or just packing a product, or sitting at your computer working with some text over it. Tips for whatever you do could be on their quizzes. All kinds of stuff you could do for business and personal stuff. You could have your morning routine on there. You could have drinking some coffee, you could have walking your dog. You could have yourself at the gym. Family stuff, vacation stuff, all you know, there's all these things you could put on there. Now, just one little warning.
[00:06:47] You usually don't want to put vacation stuff up until you're home, because that way everybody knows you're not home. You don't want to get robbed. All right. But anyway, this is a very easy thing to implement. Throw one up there every day. I mean, literally in an hour, you could have a whole month's worth of them ready to go. And I don't know if you can schedule them or not. And you do see lots of people having two or 3 or 4 or 4, even 20 of them at a time. If you had a long video. I guess that's okay. But I don't do that because I've noticed that if somebody watches the first one and then they bag out of it, they go to the next person. They don't wait for my second one to show. So if you're going to do multiples, make sure they're quick, bam, bam, bam so that people get a chance to see them. So I usually wait till about 22 hour mark and then put a new one up. And that way I don't, you know, it's just continuously going. So that's Facebook stories. And it's just one of the things I'll teach you if you're in my mentor program, greatinternetmarketingtraining.com or in my school, IMTCVA.org. It's certified to operate by SCHEV, the State Council on Higher Education in Virginia. But you don't have to be in Virginia because it's quality distance learning. So check them out and let's see some of your Facebook stories. Catch you later.
