It wasn’t always this way though. For years prior to my “figuring it out”, I was a top rated speaker, but I had little success when it came to selling at the back of the room. I’d schlep my books to the event, do a great job speaking and then pitch my book at the end…

This is pretty much how everyone else did it. I had little success doing it this way and when I started asking around, the other speakers doing it this way didn’t have much “real” success either.  

Better Way

I decided there must be a better way to figure this out. It was ridiculous to me that I would get such a good response from the audience and the meeting organizers, but virtually no sales. The key to the vault actually came when I started studying “audience members” instead of “other speakers”.

I quit watching what other speakers did because they undoubtedly learned from watching speakers before them and those speakers learned it from speakers before them and on and on back to when it was a different world and there weren’t tens of thousands of speakers running around the country.

It was easy for our forefathers to sell a tape set when the audience members had never seen a tape set. Now, with savvy, connected and overloaded people in the audience, you have to use a different set of tactics to sell big.

Repeatable System

My system is repeatable. Which means it isn’t just me who can make it work. All the techniques are easy. There are just a lot of things you need to do that you may now not know to do, or have been ignoring.

Learning this system and getting out of all that experimentation and years of bombing at the back of the room could mean a fortune to you starting at your next speech. Who knows how much extra money that will mean to you over your career.

How Much Could You Make?

Let’s actually explore that right now:

I’ll start on the low end. What if you could just sell a miniscule $1000.00 per speech and you do 20 per year. OK. To me it’s nothing to write home about, but to you it could be an extra $20K you desperately need to keep your speaking business viable. Or it could allow you to go from full time to part time in your dreaded JOB.

Let’s ramp it up just a bit:

What if you could sell an extra $5000.00 per speech? This is not pie in the sky. You could have a $50.00 online course and sell 100 of them each time out. There’s your 5 Grand. Maybe it’s a $100.00 course and you sell 50. Either way it’s $5000.00 in your pocket. Do 20 of those in a year and you just made $100K

Let's ramp it up a different way:

Let’s say you take another route and sell a membership for $20.00 a month and you sell 100. You only made 2 grand that day, but you made yourself $24,000.00 for the year for that one speech. If the people stay longer than a year, then you are making even more money from that speech. Do that 20 times a year and you almost hit the $500,000.00 mark.

I don’t preach pie in the sky stuff. All this is doable if you know the techniques.
